Zhang youlin won the Outstanding Paper Award in the Advanced Ship and Deep-Sea Exploitation Equipment Innovation Forum

Advanced Ship and Deep-Sea Exploitation Equipment Innovation Forum was successfully held at Shanghai Jiaotong University on February 17-18, 2017, which is a high-level academic conference hosted by Collaboration Innovation Center for Advanced Ship and Deep-Sea Exploitation Equipment. The Forum depends on abundant scientific research and talent resources and open academic exchange platform, focuses on scientific and technological development of naval architectures and ocean engineering, in order to achieve construction of marine powerful nation. The first Forum is an industry grand gathering, with the theme as "Deep-Sea, Intelligent, Polar", organized by the Shanghai Jiaotong University, and co-organized by Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Tianjin University, Dalian University of Technology and Wuhan University of Science and Technology.
A theme report was opened on February 17, then four sub-sessions were set up on the 18th, they are "fluid simulation and motion response", "development and structure performance of ship type", "dynamics and vibration noise" and "material and craft" respectively. More than 400 senior experts and scholars have conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on hot issues. The experts of oceanic engineering society appraised and elected the 53 academic papers. Doctoral Zhang youlin's paper “Applications of Mesh-less Particle Method on the Simulations of Violent Sloshing Flow” has been widely acclaimed, was awarded Outstanding Paper Award.
