On November 5-8, 2017, the 10th International Workshop on Ship and Marine Hydrodynamics, (IWSH ‘2017) was successfully held at the National Museum of Marine Science and Technology in Keelung, Taiwan. Experts and scholars from domestic and overseas universities and research institutes and related units in marine engineering field gather to exchange academic research results and technical application experience, discuss the frontiers of ship and ocean engineering research, and share the latest achievements in relevant fields. In this meeting, graduate student Ai Yong of the research group won the best student paper award of " the 10th International Workshop on Ship and Marine Hydrodynamics. "
The seminar received a total of more than 160 papers from both the international and domestic levels, and was examined, appraised and collected in the conference proceedings by experts. In this meeting, a total of five conference reports, four invited expert reports, and more than 160 papers in the sub-venues were reported. The meeting lasted 4 days. International and domestic experts attending the conference conducted extensive and enthusiastic exchanges and discussions on hotspots and key issues in the three ship and ocean engineering fields on a daily basis. The paper "Numerical Validation of Aerodynamics for Two In-line Model Wind Turbines Using Actuator Line Model and CFD Technique" written by Ai Yong under the guidance of Prof. Wan Decheng of the Shipbuilding Institute was strictly reviewed by experts based on the originality and significance of the research and stood out from numerous papers authored by graduate students, winning the Best Paper Award of the 10th International Workshop on Ship and Marine Hydrodynamics. The award is designed to reward students who have done outstanding work in the field of hydrodynamics and marine engineering, and encourage outstanding young researchers who continue to deepen their research in the field of hydrodynamics and marine engineering.
