On 20-22 October 2017, the eleventh Academic Conference on Computational Mechanics of the South (SCCM-11) was held in Zhengzhou. More than 230 experts, scholars and young graduate students from universities and research institutes all over the country attended the meeting.Due to the outstanding work of Professor Decheng Wan in the field of hydrodynamics, high performance calculation of marine and marine engineering, the Organizing Committee of the conference specially invited Professor Decheng Wan to report a conference on "high performance computing methods and software development for complex flow of ships and marine engineering".
